Fees
Medicare rebates are available. You are not required to have a referral from your GP to see an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Psychologist; however, if you wish to access Medicare rebates for your sessions, you will need a referral under a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician.
With a referral and Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare will rebate $87.25 per session, for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year.
Reduced fees can be offered to individuals who are seeking to engage in psychoanalytic treatment and are facing financial difficulties. This is subject to earnings and can be discussed during the initial consultations.
Preliminary sessions
The work begins with preliminary interviews. These are dedicated to understanding the concerns that have led you to seek psychological treatment and to exploring relevant aspects of your background, including family history, relationships, and significant life experiences. This initial phase allows for a considered assessment of your circumstances and supports the development of a treatment approach that best suits your needs.
Sessions are up to 50 minutes in length, and their frequency is decided together with you.
Languages
I offer psychoanalytic and therapeutic treatment in English, Spanish and Catalan.
